Minnesota American Legion Memorial Scholarship

Description: Applicant must be a legal resident of the State of Minnesota, and a citizen of the United States. Applicants shall be a legal descendent of a Veteran member of the American Legion; and/or a legal descendent of an American Legion Auxiliary member. Applicants shall be a High School graduate upon receipt of the scholarship, and must meet the academic standards of the school they will be attending. Applicants must have a good record of school and community citizenship, indicate their loyalty to their country, and show the qualities of initiative and desire to pursue an education beyond High School. Applicants shall establish a financial need.

Amount: $500

Ralph Torraco Scholarship

Description: Applicant must reside in or have a UNICO Chapter/District sponsor from one of the following states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, or Wisconsin. These scholarships are for applicants that will continue studies within the academic year 2025-2026. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen. Each scholarship offer is a stand-alone application with its individual specific requirements. You can apply to more than one if you meet eligibility. Online degree programs are not eligible for UNICO scholarships. Applicants do not need to be members of UNICO to apply. However, UNICANS and their family members may be sponsored through their respective Chapters.

Cathay Bank Foundation Scholarship

Description: Applicant must be applicants must be high school seniors residing in the Bank’s service counties in the states of California, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Texas, and Washington. Applicants must plan to attend a U.S. Accredited 4-Year College/University or Community College as a 1st year student in the Fall of 2025 (if selected, must provide college acceptance letter for verification. They must have a minimum cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0 and A household income at or below the Low-income level for the county of residence (if selected, must provide 2023 or 2024 tax return for verification). This scholarship is open to ALL MAJORS. Employees of Cathay Bank and their immediate family members are NOT eligible.
